Program Questions

Which program is right for my child?

Can my child participate in more than one program?

Yes. Many students participate in afterschool during the school year, summer camp in the summer, and AAU during the competitive season. Contact us to discuss scheduling.

What are the Afterschool Enrichment hours?

Monday through Thursday during the school year, approximately 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Hours may vary slightly by campus.

What are the Summer Camp hours and what's included?

Summer Camp runs Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, for eight weeks during June and July. A hot lunch and two snacks are provided daily. Each week includes at least one off-site field trip.

The initiative meets Monday through Thursday, 4:00–7:00 PM during the school year. It combines academic accountability, GPA tracking, mentorship, leadership sessions, and athletic training for students ages 12–18.

Tryouts are typically held in late February or early March. Submit an interest form and we'll notify you of exact dates and locations. The season runs March through July.

Is there a GPA requirement for AAU?

Do students need to play a sport to join MHS?

No. While athletic training is part of the program, the primary focus is academic accountability and leadership development. All students participate in physical activity appropriate to their level.
