Preparing teens for what's next

This program combines academic accountability, mentor-led leadership sessions, and athletic training to build confident, college-ready young adults. Students are supported by caring adults who reinforce routines, encourage growth, and keep expectations clear.

We partner with families to promote positive habits at home and at school. GPA tracking, goal-setting, and career exposure are woven into every week.

What a typical session looks like

Three focused hours of academics, mentorship, and athletic development — structured to build discipline and confidence.

Students arrive, meet with mentors, review weekly goals, and receive afternoon snack.

Academic Block

Tutoring, homework review, GPA check-ins, and college/career prep activities.

What are the program hours?

The Middle & High School Advancement Initiative meets Monday through Thursday from 4:00–7:00 PM during the school year.

Is there a GPA requirement?

There is no minimum GPA to enroll, but students participate in regular GPA tracking and academic accountability as a core part of the program.

How do you communicate with families?

Families receive updates through email, text, and app notifications. Once enrolled, you'll have access to the Parent Portal for schedules, GPA updates, and announcements.

Is financial assistance available?

CYA works to keep programming accessible and offers scholarship options based on need. Contact us for current availability.

Do students need to play a sport to participate?

No. While athletic training is part of the program, the primary focus is academic accountability and leadership development. All students participate in physical activity appropriate to their level.
