Leadership Questions

How is CYA's leadership structured?

CYA is led by Executive Director Kane Bradfield, who oversees the organization across both campuses. The Roanoke campus is directed by Cedric Phillips, who manages daily operations in East Alabama. Program staff report to campus leadership, and the Board of Directors provides strategic oversight, governance, and fiduciary accountability.

Are all staff background-checked?

Yes. All staff, coaches, and volunteers who work directly with students undergo comprehensive background screening. CYA maintains strict safety and supervision standards across all programs and campuses.

How many staff members does CYA have?

Our team size scales with program demand across two campuses. CYA maintains appropriate staff-to-student ratios in compliance with DECAL and organizational standards. As we grow, we continue adding qualified staff and trained volunteers.

How can I join the CYA team?

We are always looking for passionate staff, coaches, and mentors. You can apply as a volunteer through our Volunteer page, or contact us through the interest form and select "General Question" to inquire about paid positions.
